With iodyne Cloud’s new Fleet Management capability, creators and studios can organize storage devices into Projects, track deployments, and maintain access controls, so that media storage is always right where it’s needed most. The sticker works with any storage device you already own, from any vendor.
For iodyne Pro Mini drives, NFC scanning is built right into the device, and Pro Mini is ready to add to iodyne Cloud out-of-the-box during initial setup. For iodyne Pro Data and drives from other vendors, simply apply the NFC Sticker to the chassis in a convenient location, and tap the sticker with your phone to scan. Each sticker contains a read-only secure and unique serial number linking your device with iodyne Cloud. Team members, and DITs can now scan assets as they move between physical locations, and view workflow metadata properties that are assigned to devices in iodyne Cloud.
You can use workflow metadata properties linked to your NFC sticker to record workflow information like optimal offload settings, cloud upload bucket paths, project names and department codes, phone numbers, email aliases, chat links, project web pages, and more.
To register a device with iodyne Cloud, first download the free iodyne iOS app, and follow these steps:
-
Navigate to Scan and tap the large button to begin scanning
-
Tap your phone to the NFC sticker
.
-
Enter information about your device in the resulting form, select a Project to add the device, and tap Add to Fleet Inventory
- Click the close button, and optionally navigate via Devices or Projects to view your device’s details
With your inventory added, you'll know where drives are, reducing costs by ensuring optimal utilization of storage across all your projects.
