Our official policy on macOS release support is pretty simple to remember using this mnemonic: 3+1B, meaning we support our software on three macOS production releases, plus one beta.
As of September 2026 it includes: Sequoia (15), Tahoe (26), and Golden Gate (27).
With the release of macOS 27 Golden Gate, iodyne no longer supports software updates on Sonoma, and instead supports Sequoia, Tahoe, and Golden Gate for all software releases, plus the macOS 28 beta once released. We will continue this rolling support model for the most recent 3+1B releases of macOS into the future.
Note: While macOS 27 Golden Gate drops Intel processors, iodyne will continue to support Intel-based computers until macOS 27 is our earliest supported version, expected with the release of macOS 29.
